New support for the economy

The town of St. Pölten is making real property available to businesses in the form of the right to build.
With this form of support for the economy the State capital of St. Pölten is principally targeting small and medium-sized businesses and new start-ups.
A piece of real property in the State capital of St. Pölten will be granted to the investor in the form of a right to build. Thanks to the granting of this right to build, it is not necessary to introduce third party capital so as to acquire a plot of land. After a minimum of two years from the granting of permission for commercial use by the authorities, the real property may be purchased.

Who is entitled to this support?

Small and medium-sized businesses and new start-ups.

In principle large businesses have the required capital and suitable financing opportunities available. If however a large business wishes to move to/expand in the area on the basis of the granting of a right to build, the granting of the right to build will be considered in the event that certain conditions making the proposal attractive are fulfilled (e.g. creation of a certain number of jobs).

Conditions:

  • Innovative companies from growth sectors
  • High technology companies
  • Handicraft and service businesses with potential
  • Conditions for this are the new construction of buildings that may also be used or exploited in another way in the event of any subsequent required use.

Wholesale and retail trade

Basic data on the right to build contract:

  • Land price: Euro 50,-/m²
  • Interim interest: Euro 1,25/m²
  • Duration: 50 years
  • Purchase option: after a minimum of two years from the granting of permission for commercial use by the authorities
